Ah... this blog was a long time coming...

Should I introduce myself?  Probably. That's incredibly awkward. Has anyone managed to master this without sounding like a self absorbed creep?  No?  Ah well. Let's just get this part over with.

My name is Beckah.  See that shot of the chick in the side bar over there?  ---->  That's me.

I've been studying photography for four years now. I'm self taught and self motivated.  Two years ago I decided I wanted to dabble in boudoir photography, then last year I really started pursuing it and I had that "Aha!" moment.  The moment when I thought  "This is good."  And it was.  It was so, so good.

It was so good to be able to help a fellow woman feel confident, beautiful, and proud of herself.   I have never had a woman tell me she regrets her session.  Just the opposite actually.  I've never heard anything other than how fun and empowering the experience was.  That's what I really love about this genre of photography. The feeling of "I am woman, hear me roar!"  I am a firm believer that you should celebrate your own unique beauty. There's no one else like you girl.

Own it. Flaunt it. Be it. 

Now here's the fun part...

Over the next few weeks I'll be posting photos from some of my prior boudoir sessions.  Because some of the ladies prefer their shots to remain private, I won't be posting them all.  I will only display those sessions that I have specifically been given permission to display.

Because some ladies prefer to remain private, I am in the market for some portfolio building material. I'm looking for some gals who would enjoy a boudoir session and be willing to sign a model release. And to take it up a notch... if you will host a boudoir party  with 5 or more attendees who are ALL willing to sign a model release for all of their photos, you'll get a pretty kickin' host gift.
